Since I was a child I dreamed of being many things, as a chef, a veterinarian, even an astronaut, but I was always tied to nature, I loved to travel on holidays, to discover new green, clean and fresh places. I even took a vocational exam once and said that I would be a park ranger jaja, although I always had this idea of studying tourism, travelling aroun8d the world, meeting people, my parents didn't even like the idea that much, so I tried to find something that would complement both worlds and when the time came, I knew, forestry was my thing. I could dedicate myself to helping in sustainable tourism, or helping other companies, and if I didn't like it, I could dedicate myself to the forestry field, but at the moment I'm in love with both haha. In school I met the faculty and I was amazed, that's what I want to study. I met very nice people, full of joy and love, sharing moments and trips that fill your heart. I am sure that Santiago is my home, but not my home. I want to work in the south, in the millenary forest and help to preserve it, as a forest ranger would do, and defend it from all those who want to destroy it.

    I think that we, as students of forestry engineering, are tied to nature, and I also think that it is so cool that you have always known what you wanted to do.

  This 2020 was a difficult year, I could barely go to the beach for a few days and only recently was I able to go out, either inside or outside the region, but for this 2021 I have so many things planned, so many outings, I hope I can do them and that this pandemic does not ruin them. CHANGES TO MY STUDY PROGRAMME

  This may be the last blog I'll publish, and we have to talk about changing our career, I think it's not a difficult topic, since we always find things negative about the curriculum, I think there are some subjects that should be reformed, maybe change the teachers, but within everything, they are correct... I think that maybe it should be less years, or if not to make it more didactic, there should be more practices, more grounds, that makes any of ...... I think that if or if the infrastructures should be improved, because they are in the right place, the truth is that our sector of the campus needs to be improved, although there are not so many of us, there is a lack of space for us foresters, which is only ours. probably if we need to update, because many of our technologies are already a little bit obsolete, we need, a push, an impulse to be able to improve. and definitely, the ways of teaching should be progressing according to the times we are in, since new methodolog...

My Future Job.

hello again! as i said in other posts, my dream is to be a park ranger, the love of the forest is what drives me most to follow my dreams, you may wonder why i focus so much on that, the reason is, wouldn't you like to get up every day, have breakfast and go to your jobs surrounded by clean air, green leaves and wet soil? For me, being surrounded by such wise beings all day long makes me completely happy, working under the sun and shade, taking care of our vegetable ancestors. i hope i can make it in the south of chile, i hope i can meet and work in all the parks and reserves of patagonia, and if i get the chance to do what i like in other countries, why not? The money may not be in piles, but what better way to pay than to live healthy? I hope to be able, at the end of my career, to specialize in the preservation and conservation of some species or place.
